Welcome to International Monarchism

Hi my name is Federico Campos, and I am mexican of birth, since I was a child I've been a strong supporter of monarchism and so I decided that it was time to express to the world my ideals and my reasons. It is difficult to be a monarchist in a very republican country as Mexico, however I'll never surrend my ideal of monarchism.

The main cause of this blog is to create a place for all monarchists arround the World (Specially those in the Christian World) in order to exchange opinions and to glorify the most wonderfull and beautiful form of state: The Monarchy

This blog is defined as follows:

*Legitimist: Always supporting Louis XX, Duke of Anjou (May God always bless him)
*Respectful of the UK: I think jacobitism is right, however at the end of Henry IX, the succession becomes less clear, and thus is better to accept the status of His Majesty Elizabeth II (Shall always God bless her and give her more years to come)
*Supportive of Salic Law: I think the salic law is a beautiful form to define lines of succession, however I am notr against the rule of women (Many queens have been incredibly wise, as Maria Theresa of the HRE or queen Cristina of Sweden).
*Iturbidist: Supporting the rights of His Imperial Highness Maximilian II of Mexico, heir general of the emperor Agustin Iturbide of Mexico.
*Always monarchist: supporting the restoration of the monarchy in the following countries:
-Italy: in the person of Vittorio Emmanuele IV
-Greece: In the person of His Majesty Constantine II
-Austria: In the person of His Imperial Majesty Otto I of Habsburg
-Germany: In the person of His Imperial Majesty George Frederick I, Titular German Emperor
-France: In the person of His Most Christian Majesty Louis XX of France
-Portugal: In the person of Dom Duarte de Braganza (A male line descendant of Hugh Capet, and thus a Capetian in an illegitime line)
-Bulgaria: In the person of Simeon II Saxe-Coburg and Gotha
-Romania: In the person of HM Michael II of Hohenzollern (And supporting his eldest daughter as the next in line)
-Serbia: In the person of Crown Prince Alexander
-Montenegro: In the person of HRH Nicholas, Prince of Montenegro
-Albania: In the person of Leka, Crown Prince of Albania
-Mexico: In the person of HIM Maximilian II, Titular Emperor of Mexico
-Brazil: In the person of Luis-Gastao, Titular Emperor of Brazil

I guess there are many other thrones i would support, and of course in the future I will paid them respect and loyalty.

From time to time, issues surrounding monarchy will be discussed in this Blog, for example the dynastic disputes in France, Two-Sicilies and Brazil, I'm sure that we will have different opinions, but it is important to always remember that united we will achieve the more good for Monarchy.

I am also supporting the motion in the UK to stop banning the catholics from reaching the throne, you may find more info on the issue in the following lynk (Is in spanish): http://www.monarquiaconfidencial.com/pg_Articulo.aspx?IdObjeto=698

God bless forever monarchy and all the Christian Royal Houses!

Please comment!! No matter what language do you speak!

Welcome to the blogosphere! Always good to see another monarchist. I agree with you on almost all of the above points...no need to quibble about the others. I hope you will also visit my blog and link to it, as I will be linking to yours.

I am glad to see that there are still people that understand about the sanctity of the Throne and Crown.
But personally I think the only way to restore the glory of old regimes and dashed al the traitorous republics to hell is a bloody war that ends with the spilling of republicans’ and liberals’ blood.
Unlike most monarchists I consider republicans and liberals as not human. How can you be called human if you have defied God, logic, reason, and common sense? For me there are nothing more than thugs, thieves, whores, and an abomination to all things holy.
I know that this statement is harsh and hateful, but this is what I feel, and I am sure deep down they would think same about monarchists and traditionalists.

Greetings from Poland!
Great blog, keep going with great job for our same Cause.
Unfortunately, in Poland we haven't got our dynasty. During the revolutions, wars, and other anti-god and anti-tradition events we have lost our kings, our Royal dynasty.

and I'm sharing the ignatius M's piont of view.

(sorry for my english)

There was a fake Third Empire in Mexico, according to the author of a book called Vida y Muerte del Tercer Imperio Mexicano (Life and Death of the Third Mexican Empire), Mr. Federico Sanchez-Fogarty (1901-1976) (the Emperor himself), pioneer in Mexico of public relations. He was engaged in Industrial Chambers, president of the National Chamber of Cement (Mexico), founder and president of Publicidad Continental (a name of such entity, which, translated, would be, more or less, Continental Publishing), et cetera. A legendary bon vivant and prominent businessman, he established a world of fantasy, and a Mexican imaginary nobility, which reached its peak between 1936 and 1959, with his Imperio de Tacubaya (Empire of Tacubaya) [Tacubaya is an area of Mexico City], and his Palacio Fogartino (Fogartian Palace), id est, his home in Tacubaya, where he organized and threw more than 300 receptions-parties, wrapped in chimeric environments. Many mexican socialites were counted among his guests. He used to conduct an imaginary orchestra, as if he were (was) a conductor like Von Karajan; in fact, he stood up before his 33 1/3- and 45 r.p.m. vinyl record player at his home. He appointed fake dukes, marquises, counts, countesses(for example, Duque de Otranto, et cetera). He authored Memorias del Tercer Imperio Mexicano (Memories of the Third Mexican Empire), where he depicts the life of the Mexican high society of his time. Also, he translated from Spanish to English, in abridged text, Don Quijote de la Mancha (Don Quixote of the Mancha), an English version which received prizes and praise from/by academic societies of the United States of America, the United Kingdom of Great Britan and Northern Ireland, and Spain.

I think that I should have added my name, Alejandro Ochoa G. (from Guadalajara, State of Jalisco, Mexico) in the above comment about Federico Sánchez-Fogarty, posted on Sunday, July 5, 2009.

And, regarding Mexico, although our ancient governments came from Aztec or Mexicas or Nahuas emperors and Spanish (Austrias and Bourbons) kings,* these ruled through viceroys in colonial times, a part of me thinks that the Mexican people would not understand and would not accept to be under the rule of a king or an emperor. Some of our founding fathers copied the ideas of the U.S.A. founding fathers, opposed to the King of the United Kingdom, George III (House of Hanover) and the prime ministers of Great Britain Frederick North (Lord North, a tory, 1770-1782) the Marquess of Rockingham (a whig, 1782), the Earl of Shelbume (a whig, 1782-1783), the Duke of Portland (elected by a coalition of parties, 1783) and William Pitt the Younger (a tory, 1783-1801).

*If we extrapolate this to the chemical field, we can say that out of the combination of two GASES (e.g., oxygen and hydrogen) a liquid or FLUID can come out (e.g., water). Out of the combination of two KINGDOMS, a REPUBLIC can come out. So, not because our great-great grandparents, et cetera, were subjects to the rule of several kings, we have to be subjects and not free citizens.

The attorney at law Francisco Primo de Verdad y Ramos (1768-1808) protomartyr of Mexico's Independence, who was syndic of the City Council of the City of Mexico in 1808, learning about the invasion of Spain by the French troops of Napoleon Bonaparte (the “francesada”), and the captivity of the royal family of Charles IV of Bourbon, along with Councilor Juan Francisco Azcárate, suggested that the fifty-sixth (LVI) viceroy of New Spain, José Joaquín Vicente de Iturrigaray y Aróstegui convene all of the City Councils of New Spain to the Boards in order to form a provisional government supported by the people. He argued that in the absence of a monarch, sovereignty had returned to the people, and supported the need to form a provisional government in the Laws of the Start: "This provisional government –the licenciado** Verdad (as he was better known) added– shall provide the livelihood of the viceroyalty and its defense against foreign aggression, the more frightening the more sensitive and anguish is the state of public affairs," and ended by proposing to the Viceroy Iturrigaray and the Board to swear as the king of Spain and the Indies, [to] the King Fernando VII de Borbón (Ferdinand the VII of Bourbon) and also swear not to recognize any monarch who was not of royal lineage of the Bourbons, to defend the Kingdom of New Spain and not give it to another Power or another person who was not of the legitimate royal family. A coup de main or surprise attack by Gabriel Yermo brought down Viceroy Iturrigaray, and the licenciado** Verdad was locked up in the Jail of the Archdiocese, where he was found dead on Tuesday October 4, 1808, it is not known whether he was the victim of an accident or hanged or poisoned, as was rumored then.

**Licenciado means: lawyer, attorney at law.

Kindly, understand me, by all means I do not want a monarchy in Mexico, but if it comes some day, I will accept it. This is my position.
